Francesca has had a difficult, stressful week, not made easier by the depressing revelation that there are those –even a (very) few of our own dear readers!– who attempt to excuse the wearing of flipflops to class in college (not to mention the binge drinking and the meaningless sex. Francesca is having heart palpitations).
So, Francesca takes comfort in the stable things of life, the time-tested, tried-and-true wonders of beauty and good taste. The jewelry given to Francesca by her beloved departed grandmother. The coming days of the foliage in New England. Taking a Sunday afternoon walk with a good friend. And these very classy heels in basic black Italian leather, perfect for the office, and available in a wide width.
For the weekend, Francesca is admiring these timeless black beauties, which would have looked beautiful and fashionable 50 years ago, and will continue to be beautiful and fashionable in another 50. They too come from Italy and are available for the wider feet.
Ah. Francesca is feeling better now. Perhaps even well enough to venture forth in the red version!
Yes, a happy weekend indeed!
xoxo, Francesca
Okay, I am, in general, not a shoe person. I’m generally baffled by the very *idea* of spending more than $50 on a pair of shoes.
I would seriously *maim* someone for those first black ones. I’d risk the wrath of HusbandMan in a major way. Wow.
