Evem my 5yo dd adores Miss Piggy - she has named her toy dog "Foo Foo" after Miss P's dog and dances around the house singing "Fabulous" She knows it when she sees it.

That chick, er, pig should be an inspriation to all bodacious babes everywhere!

I credit Miss Piggy with my ability to embrace my superfantasticness as a big girl!
She just made curves and confidence look so good! I'm a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding the week after next and have to wear a pink dress that I never would have chosen, but maybe I'll just try to channel Miss P. She always looked good in pink! At least I got to pick my shoes. Yes, finding superfantastic chocoalte brown satin shoes was rough but I've got three pairs to choose from coming from Zappos tomorrow so keep your fingers crossed for me!

Miss Piggy is, quite simply, the best feminist cartoon icon ever imagined, for the reasons that Francesca outlines above. She was indeed my idol when I was young and addicted to the Muppet Show! And that first video is what I'll be putting on from now on when I am getting dressed up to go out dancing...

Long live La Piggy -- i had a poster of her up in my room for years: Miss Piggy, reclining on a chaise, elegant as always, with another Miss Piggy-ism that I live by: My needs are simple -- it's my *wants* that are expensive! i still have a Miss Piggy christmas ornament that my parents bought me when i went to college. still love the Muppets and the Muppet show was television at its best.

La BellaDonna clutches one of the Divine Miss P's maxims for all she is worth: "Less is not more, less is less. More is more." This is a maxim which has served me well for many a year. Also, I have noted that Miss P is a very stylin' Miss; in a number of books, she appears in everything from the June Cleaver look to her martial arts uniform - pearls and all. Miss Piggy, she lives a life without fear.
