30 percent off linens at Igigi
By FrancescaFrom now until October 19, Igigi has deducted 30 percent from the prices of their linen items: Boot cut pants, wide leg pants, and matching jacket. The jacket is very good for Pears, methinks. Apples should avoid the wide leg pants, but the boot cuts can be quite nice. (***UPDATE**** Francesca meant to write “Petites should avoid the wide leg pants.” Please excuse me! Francesca must not have had her morning coffee when she wrote this) Here are pictures:

I’m a pear, but I look absolutely horrendous in wide leg pants. They make me look very short, though I’m 5′6 (average). You know how Lane Bryant’s Houston dress pants are supposed to be the universally flattering fit? Not so for me. I need my pants fitted in the thigh and bootcut.

Widelegs will work on a 5′6″ person if all your height is in your legs to begin with and you add heels to that. If you’re long-torsoed and short-legged, forget it.

Yeah, I’ve got longer legs, but I’m not down with the heels requirement, at least not for work. My feet will thank me when I’m older.
