		<description>There&#039;s usually a point in the fall when the weather turns cold enough to start me frantically knitting wool socks. They&#039;re especially good for this wet Pacific climate (I&#039;m in Portland, OR). But I don&#039;t think we&#039;re at that point yet, because the socks I started last spring are still 2&quot; away from finished.

The best thing about knitting your own clothes: being able to make them exactly the right size.</description>
