Ha! You are all smutminds! I am merely remarking on this charming little three-season dress! I cannot say I’m positively in love with the questionable mockodile belt but we’re not going to be seeing the big belt much past next Spring anyway (replace it with the 1″ skinny belt, which yes, you can wear.)The embroidery reminds me of some picture books from France I had growing up and I appreciate the little nod to the structured dressing trend with the pleats around the neckline. It’s in gray which is absolutely the story of the season and it will look darling all the way through spring. Plus SO inexpensive!
Wear it now with the big belt and some tights for day and a skinny metallic belt for winter. I bought a Ralph Lauren Collection one for a STEAL in the clearance bin of Neiman Marcus –it was one of those jobbers from a few years ago that were supposed to wrap around twice– I took it to David my Fairy Godcobbler and had him shorten it and now I’ve got a fabulous fitted belt. In the spring replace the belt with a darling grosgrain ribbon and fuzzy cardi and some pearls (ooh ooh and shortie gloves!!! God I love a shortie glove) and you’ll be sitting pretty through Easter.
*Hi Grandpapa! Aren’t you sorry you asked what I’ve written lately?
From whence does one find this charming frock?

Never mind, I broke the code.

Sigh. 43″ long. I’d look as if I were wearing a nightgown. MMM, could you find something as superfab for those of us who are short of limb?

Ya know what would be even better about that dress and others from Nordstrom? If they actually *gasp* carried them in their STORES! I know, novel idea that I might want to shop in your store. Their website has such great stuff, and the store itself? Bah. Although I did find a great b&w suit on the clearance rack, but the good stuff is few & far between.

I just had to say that my mother recently bought this dress for my brother’s November 17th wedding. It was not the plus sized version, as she normally wears a 14-16, but bought this in a size 12. She’s also 5ft5, so it hits a bit below the knees for her. I have to say, in my opinion, this model wears the dress poorly. My mother pulls it off FAR better. Robbie Bee is amazing.
