Francesca never ceases to be amazed to find out which mainstream clothing providers offer a selection in plus sizes.
Or, in today’s case, not exactly mainstream . . . and not exactly clothing . . . more like a studied lack of clothing . . .
Who knew that Frederick’s of Hollywood has a Plus-Size section?
Indeed! They acknowledge that fat women have powers of seduction!
Francesca cannot show too many examples, as most are definitely Not Safe For Work.
She will simply specify that most items in their plus-size page come in 1x and 2x, and some in 3x. And most work better for Pears than for Apples (though as always each woman must decide what works for her).
However, for Apples, they offer this little red velvet Santa thigh-high with princess seams.
Merry Christmas indeed.
What, no Santa hat? Sheesh. It needs a Santa hat.

Actually, FoH has had Plus sizes for about a decade. And a few of their retail locations have carried some of these products. Call your local stores to find out if they do.

Not only do they carry cute “night time wear” – but I wear a 40 H as a bra size and I have had good luck with their bras too!!

Mrs. Claus just emailed the link to her husband. Thanks for finding a site that ships to Canada too!

Ahhh, the plus size section. About 6 years ago, my cousin and I convinced a size 24 friend to buy a gorgeous teal teddy and matching thong from Frederick’s. She had never purchased lingerie before. She was a little nervous..but she wore it that night for her husband. The next morning, she was smiling and he was on cloud 9. She told us later that he was so happy – one of his biggest fantasies was to see her in something like that. In addition to the post-coital glow, that night also produced their oldest daughter.

About 6 years ago, my cousin and I convinced a size 24 friend to buy a GORGEOUS teal teddy with matching thong. Never in her life, even she was a size 8, had she worn lingerie.
Long story short, her husband of one year was so happy that night. He told her it was one of his fantasies to see her in something like that. In addition to an amazing post coital glow, that night also produced the couples oldest daughter :)

I am not at all surprised that Frederick’s carries plus sizes. If there were ever a company who realized that all women, whether size 2 or size 22, have an inner ho just begging to be let out, it would be Frederick’s. I remember looking at the catalogs my mom got from them in the 1970’s and they were just hysterical. Loads of fun.

I’ve had great luck with their bras (it’s incredibly hard to find nice sexy bras in a 34F), and they have a fabulous return policy. If you buy something and it doesn’t fit, you can return it no questions asked, which is rare for undergarments. Their customer service has always been friendly and helpful to me, and I cannot recommend them enough.
My only beef with them is the ridiculous extra service charges for international orders, but now that I work for a company that does online sales, I understand most of it goes to pay the customs brokers who expedite cross-border shopping. Those guys are foul, money-grubbing so-and-sos. >
