For the British mystery buffs who have burned through Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, and Ngaio Marsh, I highly recommend Margery Allingham. Many of her books are now out of print but I've found a few in used bookstores!

Thanks for the recommendations! I was muy sick this week, & having burned through my last remaining novel & too many magazines, you inspired me to dig up an old Agatha Christie (At Betram's Hotel) I'd never read. I loved it! That last miserable day passed in a blur of manners, deduction & a deep lust for British baked goods.

My brother own's a used bookstore, so I'm going to ask him to pull some more Agatha Christie's for me. I had forgotten how much I loved them. "And Then There Were None" scared me silly in gr. 4.
