Jean-Michel Cazabat – Clarissa Pump.
As you might have noticed, I’m having a major burnished metallics moment and I just cannot get enough of this gunmetal piping on black suede story. Piping is hard to carry off in a shoe without it looking either cute or cheap. We are too old for cute and cheap. (You are asking yourself “how does she know I’m too old for cute and cheap?” to which I respond, “are you legally permitted to buy lottery tickets, enroll in the armed forces or vote in government elections? Yes? THEN YOU’RE TOO OLD.”)
The Clarissa pump by Jean-Michel Cazabat is a great fall/winter party shoe that’ll last you year after year, and while it was a worthy but serious investment at the original $500, but a total steal at 65% off!
Also at 65% off, check out this round-toe pump from Le Silla. It’s not an “it” shoe, but a good solid investment. I particularly like the subtle petal stitching, the hidden platform and the low quarter scoop. Originally $548.
