Important info about Israel: a lot of designers and stores/brands (Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Gap, Wacoal, Victoria's Secret, Ralph Lauren are just some examples) have their more simple underclothes (underwear, bras, camis) made by Delta Galil Industries. This means that when Delta overproduces items, the underclothes are sold in bulk to whoever comes to the factory for very, very cheap. (Often the tags are ripped out or cut, but you can tell what's what.) These merchants then sell the underclothes at the shuk for about 5-15 shekels (1.25$-3.75$). I've bought 20$ Gap undershirts for 5 shekels each, 36$ Wacoal camis for 15 shekels. (You can bet I get a ton of them, when I see them.)
Bottom line, if you have the time, get yourself to the shuk and look around. Sometimes the products are slightly damaged, so look them over well.

Also, if you're in Israel, there's this AMAZING brand of push-up bras for big-chested women, by the name of Bonita de Mas. I haven't seen this brand anywhere else but Israel (they come from Italy, so I assume it's also sold in Europe). They make my big (naturally un-pert) breasts look like they have silicon in them. I mean that in the best way possible.

And if anyone offers you a Krembo, my advice is to politely decline. They unfortunately don't know much about food in this country.

Have a great trip!!!

oops, posted in the wrong place. Francesca, you picked awesome books. I LOVE most of these and unfortunately haven't had time to read the rest. I really like Saviyon Librecht... and enjoy Tel Aviv. Although Jerusalem is by far more my favorite, I love Tel Aviv just the same...
