I second the recommendation to read <i>Chronicles</i> in the order in which they were written! There's something so satisfying about realizing just who Digory is when reading <i>The Magician's Nephew</i> as the next-to-last book that would be altogether missing if it were the first one read. Oryx and Crake should come with a "seriously disturbing" warning...much more so than any of her other novels, I think.
