Booties have grown on me (I especially like the lace-up oxford types that still show plenty of ankle) but I can't get on board with this. I like the ombre. I like that the shoe is wide and the heel is substantial (in comparison to something like Laboutins). I think it's the square toe and the wide straps... this falls into my "chunky shoe" category. I'm willing to concede that it may look better on a person than as just a shoe. I've only seen it (and the other Prada shoes like it) on models with thick tights, which evokes that "adult child" thing that makes me feel icky on the inside, so maybe I'm just responding to that.
