I too dearly love Steve Martin’s famous bit about the CRUEL SHOES — but I will admit, it did not occur to me to pay tribute by actually putting the shoes into production. So Gavin Douglas is ahead of me there.

Even a pole dancer would look weird in those. Seriously, I think she could wear nothing else but these shoes and noone would even notice. They demand attention, they confuse and bedazzle with the almighty “Why?” - why were they made? Why did she buy them? Why does she wear them? Why?

I guess providing amusement is a valid purpose in life for a pair of shoes, and these ones certainly do it. The wearer just has to be entirely aware of how funny her shoes are — which is where the equation tends to break down.

Yeah, they’re easy to save. Just take off most of the platform and shorten the heel. They’re actually really cute!
