Francesca just loves this dress, available at Lane Bryant:
The amount of piping, and small amount of contrast between the fabric and the piping, is just right. And it is very moderately priced, at less than 55 of the American dollars.

It’s a nice dress, but that’s not piping. Yes, Lane Bryant may call it piping, but it’s not – it’s embroidery, or passementerie, or something of the sort. Piping is a tubular material used on seams and the edges of clothing, while this is spread across the front. I really dislike the lazy use of language, and this is right up there.

I think the dress is ok, but you’d have to get another belt. That plasticky-vinyl-elastic thing really cheapens the look, and I’m having a hard time giving the dress an independent evaluation because of it. Plus, don’t you think that the design is probably just screen-printed on? I’m not sure how that would look in person.

I like the dress, it’s cute without being childish and just the thing for fall! :)

I was about to say the same thing as oliviacw. If one made cakes, one could possibly consider this piping. But in clothing? No, dearies… no such thing.

FYI, this dress runs TINY….I tried it on, or should I say, attempted to try it on, and my normal size wouldn’t even zip.
So for those online-ordering lovelies, go up a size. Maybe 2.
