"dreams and self-image and personal expression" Yes!

I need to print this post out and put it on my wall...thank you. I had always been afraid to let the inner me out. This will help me remember to let my freak flag fly.

I have the book. I won't own all the 100 because I don't have the disposable income and some of the things just aren't to my taste -- for instance, I don't like Mary Janes and wellies. Uch. It's a fun read, however.
And I'm a tall fan of trench coats and LBDs.

Well done, Zoe!

We can tell you what the trends are, and we can tell you what the popular colors are, and we can tell you what sort of lines tend to look better on what body types, but in the final analysis, you have to choose for you.

And none of us are 100% going to look our best in the things we are told will be best based on generalities.

I'm short. I have always been short. Once upon a time, I was very thin as well. All the magazine articles told me I would look best with tiny, delicate accessories that wouldn't overwhelm me. So I went out and got tiny stud earrings, and delicate bangles that looked like a deep breath might break them and thin chains with little, tiny charms that sat just below the base of my throat...and I merely looked invisible.

When I decided to try out the chunky bracelets and dangling earrings and bold scarves I was really more drawn to, it was like someone had turned on a light and I could finally see me. I love big. I love bright. I love romantic. I love sumptuous. When I wear them, it shows in everything I do and say that I'm feeling my most confident and most superfantastic.

The double-breasted trench coat is not for me, but it clearly is for you. Rock it, my friend, and let the world see just how amazing you are.

From cashmere twin sets to glitter and fringe, there's someone who looks best in each possible style...but you'll never know which one really makes you look and feel your best until you try a few on for size.

I love this post. Yesterday I bought a double breasted trench coat (haha), even though I have avoided double breasted stuff for the entirety of my relatively short shopping life. Yet somehow it works! :D
