I'm not big into Halloween, I guess growing up in the country did that for me. My husband's family however loves it. Combine that with the fact my M-I-L owns her own sewing shop and my kids have awesome costumes.

In one corner of my living room right now (I kid you not) is a four foot high foam 'Foot of Frankentstein.' Complete with a massive rusty nail driven through it with bood and infected pus dripping from the wound.

My tiny up until now always-been-Barbie-princess came up with the idea herself and her grandma took that idea to places I can't quite believe.

Last year I saw a depressing lack of costumes among the few children who knocked on my door. This year my roommate and I are just setting out a bowl of candy while we enjoy ourselves at the Crime and Punishment museum in DC. They are having trick-or-treat from 5 to midnight, and admission is $5 off if you go in costume. I will be rocking an awesome gypsy ensemble while my roommate will dress as an accurate Catholic school girl (raccoon eyeliner and super messy hair).
