Mostly right at this minute, I am grateful that my three sons have two loving, happy, healthy, involved and devoted (albeit divorced parents) to guide them on their journey to adulthood- one of their dear friends lunexpectedly and suddenly lost her healthy 50 yr old mother this week to complications from a minor preventative procedure (colonoscopy). Yet another reminder to live one's daily life with joy and passion since it's all we have.... This post makes me happy, and I share so many of your things to be happy about. My husband and I adopted a cat just last week, and he makes the perfect addition to our now empty nest. I'm very grateful for him, and for said nest and husband. Since the area I live in has the highest unemployment rate in the country, I'm extremely grateful that we both have jobs. Both my elderly parents are alive, able to live in their own home and in relatively great health, and I am thankful for them every day; also that I live near enough to them to visit them often and offer some solid practical help. And yep, I'm grateful for the Internet, too. Reading terrific blogs like this one are my favorite wind-down activity. I’m so glad for this uplifting post, and that you shared your gratitude for Jake.
