This was one of the first books promoted for Denver’s citywide read-along, several years ago. I read it at the time and enjoyed it a lot…and then forgot the title and have been trying to remember it ever since. I always thought of it as “They’d Better Hurry Up And Make A Movie Before Dakota Fanning Gets Too Old” – but I guess by now it would be “Oops, Too Late; Can We Settle For Abigail Breslin?”.
I have not met anyone who has read this book and not liked it. Reactions have ranged from mine (which is, “good, you should read it”) to many of my other friends, most of whom are fanatical.
It’s good. You should read it.

(Yes. Good book. I recommend it too.)
