Today we turn to a completely different sort of medium from oils and ceramics: The edible art!
Look, from Atlanta’s Highland Bakery, we have Big Girls as cake:
and cookies!
Francesca loves!
And, look, they made a cake for shoe-lovers:
Kudos to the bakery’s sugar artist, Karen Portaleo!
And thanks to our internet friend Martha for the tip. xoxo
I want the shoe cake and I want it now!!!

Those corset cookies are so awesome, I would buy the entire set and figure out how to glaze them so I could use them as holiday ornaments. Seriously, glue a loop of pink ribbon to the backs of the cookies, and that is one fab tree.

Thanks Francesca . You have just given me my sweets for my 10th year wedding anniversary next year.
I can’t wait to contact the bakery and get some prices.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Francesca

These are pretty bloody amazing! Whoever designed them needs to sell framed prints and illustrate books and fashion show reportage as well; they are beautiful.

Those cookies are darling, but the first cake is HORRIFYING. What is wrong with her face?! Uncanny valley, anyone?

This might be my all-time favorite Big Girls in Art post. I am loving the corset cookies, especially!
