We’re Back!

Filed under: Uncategorized — Miss Plumcake @ 2:58 am

Popular fashion wisdom says pink, plaid and polka dots will ALWAYS come back.

Valentino Mena
Type Z - Sweet (Beige) - Footwear

 And so will we!

That’s right, the entire Manolosphere crashed and we’ve been apart far, far too long. It’s good to be back.

And while I’m at it, can I just talk about how much I love those Valentinos? I have these exact pair and I love them the way I love ALL classic Valentino shoes, which is to say “more than my family but not as much as my Cadillac”

They’re the most glorious softly pearlized peachy pink and I want to kiss them.

On that note:

Those are a very, very slim 4 1/2″ heel and positively no platform.  I’ve had them for a year and a half and I have YET to wear them outside the house. In fact, the furthest distance they have travelled à pied is the 39 steps from my couch to my bedroom, and because my bishop and my brother read this blog I will not go into further detail, but, kind reader, beware; it’s all fun and games until someone gets a puncture wound.

  1. Welcome back!!! You were missed (along with the dots).

  2. Those Valentinos are gorgeous, but they’re definitely shoes that don’t leave the house.

  3. (covets polka dot flats)

Everyone else can have my pink if I can have those adorable shoes.

Oh, Plummy, you’re my favoritest. :-)

  6. It’s a shame really, that you can’t just CARRY beautiful-but-delicate shoes with you, displaying their beauty to the public while not actually having to perambulate in them.

Ah well, I’m sure there will come a lovely event that doesn’t require walking, but instead just a brief period of you standing around in those shoes, champagne flute in hand, basking in the compliments.

  7. Hehehehe, I have a pair of shoes like that, maybe even 2.
