It is Friday and Francesca wishes to turn to issues that have nothing to do with health, or cancer, or anything that isn’t fun!
So, she wants to know: Have you replaced your eye makeup in the last 6 months?
Bacteria gets onto all those applicators and into the mascara and the powder.
If your makeup is getting old, aw, too bad, you will have to go to the store and get new makeup! And then come home and play with it all!
When Francesca buys new makeup, she takes it home and then does herself up with it like Britney Spears in “Toxic.” Oh, did she just admit that out loud?

But remember that if you use proper makeup brushes and wash them regularly your makeup will last longer! :)

Ginger is right. Keeping your brushes clean and keeping an alcohol solution in a mister helps keep your makeup clean and safe. Mist your powders and palettes lightly with the alcohol solution and wash your brushes at least once a week and you’ll extend the life of your makeup. Don’t forget your eyebrow brush and your pencil sharpener.

I hadn’t worn make-up for years, but in January I went to the MAC counter at Nordstroms, had a full make-up except foundation (which I’ve always hated wearing), and bought everything. So yes, my eye make-up is fresh! And I wash my brushes out weekly.
