Flying 101 for the Big Girl

Our fellow blogger Marianne Kirby has written an excellent refresher course on travel tips for the Big Girl. Be sure to read the comments.

FYI, you can easily purchase your own seatbelt extender on Amazon, here or here, to ensure you will always have one even if the airline does not.

FWIW (and I could be wrong), it looks like the second link is to an actual belt, made out of an airplane seatbelt.

Excellent tip. A person that I know (not me of course wink, wink) would always ask for a seat belt extender as she was first boarding the airplane. Oftimes she found this embarassing or sometimes forgot to ask and had to try to get the flight attendant’s attention prior to takeoff when they are extremely busy. On one trip she “accidentally” put the extender into her carry-on and thereafter never had to ask for one again and was always prepared for safe and secure air travel. The end.
