The Daily Kick: AND If You Squint They Kinda Look Like Thieving Badgers Edition

Filed under: The Daily Kick — Miss Plumcake @ 7:00 am

Listen up novelty socks people. This is how you do whimsy in a stylish way. Even ignoring the bandit badger angle -which I never would- these are fun without being twee (I’m looking at YOU Marc Jacobs Mouse Shoe). It’s the calf hair that makes all the difference. If they were just printed? Naff beyond the endurance of a block.  Oh, FYI, Michael by Michael almost always run a half to a whole size large. Do with that information what you will.

Zebra-striped calf hair loafers from Michael by Michael Kors,less than a hundred bucks. If you don’t buy these, you don’t deserve to have feet.

Note: The Daily Kick will always be available in a size 10 or larger at the time of writing. Most of the shoes I post are on sale so they’ll have limited sizes available, and that’s just the way it’s gonna be.  If it’s not available in your size when you click over, there’s not a whole lot I can do about it other than mourn with you in your time of sorrow. It would be swell if Zappos showed a “X many left in this size” feature, but they don’t. Also it might be worthwhile to keep in mind that just because a size isn’t available NOW doesn’t mean it won’t be in the future.

I do my best to provide shoes that are available in the bigger sizes, and wide widths when possible, that fit in with the superfantastic Manolo aesthetic while keeping it within the price point for this feature (which is under $150) but, despite efforts to the contrary, I am still technically just a human so y’all are just going to have to butch it up, Irma Lou.

  3. These, yes! These I am down with. Our disagreement over yesterday’s jewel encrusted green flats is behind us and we’re again in harmony, basking in the glow of a truly fun shoe.

  4. Very elegant, but again, alas! NOT sized for those of us who are taller than the average woman and wear a size 11 in a shoe… {deep sigh}

  5. Can’t do loafers. I’m short and need a heel. But very cute.

  6. They are not sized for the wide foot. So I guess I’m not deserving of feet. Very well, can I have wheels instead? Castors would be better still.
