I see those Balenciaga florals, and I keep visualizing them with a white or pale yellow dress. I feel like anything else would fight the shoe. But then I’d find some accessories that draw from the color palette on the shoe, like a green bag or a chunky orange bracelet.

A pale yellow would be all wrong for those. I’d like them with a screaming orange dress. When you’re dealing with brights you need to think about intensity, otherwise the shoes will come off wrong. You’ve got the right idea with not fighting the dress (unless you want to do some Very Advanced Fashion) but it really needs a strong color –or white, which is strong– to balance it out.

They’d also be tremendous with a zebra print dress of the right scale.

I think you could also wear them with a simple black dress and a bright, oversized clutch (maybe fuchsia or orange).
