Huh. The software edited out the diacritical marks that are necessary for making hyperlinks! Instead of [ or ] (brackets), use the left-facing or right-facing carat marks that appear on the comma and period keys on a QWERTY keyboard. Oy, with the poodles already.

Cat: Replace the [ or ] with in the following to make a hyperlink: [a href="URL you want to link"]text you want to highlight as the link[/a]

So, if I wanted to link someone to this very entry, I would use the and type the following:
[a href="http://manolobig.com/2009/09/08/what-miss-plumcake-is-2/#comments"]this very entry[/a] Voila!

It took me a few weeks of posting to LiveJournal back in 2002 to get it memorized, but once I did, it was imprinted on my brain like whoa. :-)

Right now, I am reading One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer, by Nathaniel Fick. Fick is one of the men depicted in the HBO miniseries Generation Kill, and once I saw that, I decided I had to read Fick's book. So far, it is very good.

Chloe, I very strongly recommend Chromium Green Oxide from from Coastal Scent. I've been hunting for a true emerald green for ages and this is just tremendous! It looks darker in the picture, but it's a true, pure green.

Reading: Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon. I'm not exactly reading it at the moment, but I've been at it for over 7 years now and still haven't gotten past the first 1/3 of the book. So, until I get to the last page, I will always be reading it.

Watching: Tonight's TV selection will be "America's Next Top Model: Shortie Edition" followed by the second episode of "Glee".

Hearing: My randomized playlist on Last.fm. So far it's been Carole King, Adele, and Daisy Chainsaw.

Smelling: Nothing at the moment because my favorite perfume has gone the way of the dodo. There will always be a place in my heart for Escada's Ibiza Hippie.

Loving: Churrascarias...but not Fogo de Chao. I am the carnivore your parents warned you about.

Hating: So many things. So. Many. Things. This is including but not limited to: my job, half my family, raisins, concern trolls that made me late for work, and lotion that smells like anything dessert-oriented.

Wanting: a better job and a black camisole(I broke the strap on the last one)

Buying: a completely new makeup stash. I'm looking for a true-green eyeshadow, a cherry or apple red lipstick(not a true red), and a new foundation that doesn't turn me orange or breaks me out.

Cat - Apparently my demonstration of a link actually made a link that goes to nothing, I hope...anyway, you can find out how to do it here since I can't figure out how not to make it link in the comments.

Plumcake - Self control with tv is always difficult, even for me, so I don't watch much of it, with the exception of Top Chef. I also don't watch many movies (too much of a time commitment)...and I've tried Coke Zero, but never Cherry Coke Zero. I have had maybe five regular cokes in my entire life, and don't like those either, though...

And I recently found your blog and love it! Thank you for doing it!

Catherine - I don't like it when she cries, or the diapers either, but the rest is really incredible, and she's a good tempered baby so she doesn't cry often (maybe once a week?)...

Cat - You can imput a link by doing the following (minus the spaces) the text you want highlighted

Alan for Monday hotness, please. OMG.
