How I LOVE thee, Oscar; always have, always will. I would gladly wear outfits from years ago.

That said … I would really like to see these outfits on the mothers of these girls. And their grandmothers. Some of these outfits just need to be worn by grownups.

Have always loved Oscar — he does simple elegance for grownups. I remember when he had a bridge line, with plus sizes (sold at Saks Salon Z/Off Fifth), and I still have this beautiful pale pink silk shantung skirt I wear. I also have a couple of his RTW pieces in misses 18s.

I would cut you for that first jacket. And while I would never, ever, ever wear that last dress, but I would buy it and put it on my tall, skinny, young friends in a heartbeat just so that I could look at it. And I LOVE the shoes on that black number.

I haven’t seen anything from the blogs that really lit me up except for La Furstenberg who always has wearable things, but not my style. StyleSpy made me snort my coffee with her skewering of the Alexander Wang show. I have never gotten why he is a big deal if you don’t want to look like an emo kid.

Oscar, my love, Oscar. I have all these wonderful Oscar de la Renta silk scarves from way back in the day, and I put them on my purses and in my hair and everybody tells me how great I look.

The little black number is phenomenal. And truly, the salmon number at the end would be the greatest ever “statement” bridesmaid dress EVER. Carrying flowers would be so very unnecessary. And no, you couldn’t cut it off and wear it again.
