Exciting? Not especially. Extremely flat as to elicit a ton of “I can’t wear perfectly flat shoes” comments to accompany the “I can’t wear mid heels/high heels/low heels/stacked heels/stiletto heels” cries that will someday truly drive me insane and then you’ll be sorry? Yes, indeed.
Veggie AND couture, thus allowing for almost unprecedented levels of smugness? Absobaconlutely.
Cruelty-free skimmer sandals from Stella McCartney. On final clearance at YOOX.
The idea is cute, but I wonder if that big strap going across the top of the foot would look kind of clunky when worn, especially with the very blunt round toe.
But hey, that is a pretty good markdown. I wonder if they constrict and cut off your bloodflow if they sense you eating foie gras?

Nope, just not on board with these. I can get the same look from street vendors in Chinatown. And I do wonder why “flats” seems to mean “no effort to provide support at all.”

not to toot my employers’ horn, but i enjoyed this roundup of vegan shoes to wear on Yom Kippur: http://www.tabletmag.com/life-and-religion/16904/shoes-you-can-use/. i think the post went up too early to add the story about the lithuanian rebbe banning crocs on YK because they are too dang comfortable. (hideousness is apparently not a sin. TO THAT GUY, ANYWAY.)
