Maybe it’s because my happiest memories are of the time spent on my grandfather’s yacht “The Night Owl” when I was a wee bairn, or maybe I’m just a magpie who can’t resist anything shiny, but I am all about these mocs from Ralph Lauren (who can still suck it, by the way). They’re not exactly winter shoes, but think of how much fun you could have in them come spring and summer! Boat parties! Farmers Markets! Making fun of Molly Ringwald for being poor!

Red patent boat shoes. I’m speechless with desire. Oh to have the pink button down oxford shirt, red dickies pants, and pink & red O-ring woven belt with embroidered sailboats to wear with it. That I once owned in college. And I’m really not snarking. I never had an easier time getting dressed in my life.*
I would, of course, leave off the initial-embroidered red button-on to wooden handles interchangeable handbag. That would be a bit much. And the add-a-beads necklace, which is long gone anyway.
*Well, except for now, when I wear trouser jeans, oxford shirts, brown or black Borns, and a jacket if company’s coming, to work every day.

what is the point of saying ralph lauren can suck it if you’re recommending that people give him money?
