My heart goes out to McQueen’s surviving loved ones. I hope he gets the healing and respite in death he so desperately needed in life.
It’s all so very sad…
“Beside herself”? OK, fine, he was a genius and people loved his designs, but really, unless she knew the man personally she could maybe tone the griefwhoring down a bit.
Next up: “took to her bed”.
I’m really sad too. He was so good in “The Towering Inferno.”
“Distress”? Fine, sure, there are always public figures we feel particularly strongly about. “Beside yourself” over a celebrity you never met? Over the top. Save the “beside yourself” for friends and family.
I’m thinking, that Francesca is having a teensy bit of fun with us. Perhaps she’s implying she was so beside herself that she went out and bought 4 pairs of shoes.
I am sad because one more person who made beautiful things and had interesting ideas left the planet far, far too soon.
Lovely pictures!
