I don't think I qualify as a Big Girl, but I am tall and have big feet and lots of sympathy for my four-legged fellow-passengers. I'm glad I could help and be an honorary member of Team Us. :)

This is appropriate and beautiful and always makes me cry (which I try not to do because it makes me blotchy and happens more than I care to admit): http://www.blindbuddy.info/document_a_dog_for_jesus_by.htm

I second the Yeah Team Us! Simply awesome.
So with that in mind, I went back and left a little lov'n for Pebbles. Those eyes...I just want to hug and love her up.
I too hope her story has a happy ending.

Pebbles looks a lot like my dear departed childhood dog, and her story is similar to the adorable poodle my parents now have (kept chained/caged for years as a puppy machine, and is somehow still the sweetest, friendliest little dog ever). I had to make a little donation to her. I hope she makes a full recovery and finds a loving home!

Aaaaaa! I went back to look at Stevie's page again and saw that they are now directing donors to the page for another dog named Pebbles. And Pebbles's sweet, sad eyes compelled me to make another donation. I so wish I could save them all.

Go Team Us! And while we're at it, can I encourage anyone touched by this story to get involved in their local dog/cat/other animal rescue organization? I'm a volunteer with French Bulldog Rescue Network, and can't say enough for the people who help us do what we do.

Even just a little donation makes a huge difference, not just on a cumulative financial level, but on an emotional one. And if you can open your home to an animal in need, whether as a foster or forever home, please consider it.

"Rescuing one dog may not change the world, but for that one dog the world will be changed forever. "
