Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Nice Guns Edition

Hey everyone!

It’s time once again to play Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness! You all know how this works. I find a picture that’s whimpering under the bed for a good caption or three. You provide said captions via the comments function. Next saturday I declare a winner and we all do a frenzied Hokey Pokey of delight. Or, you know, say ‘yay, winner.’

Anyway. This image comes from the Sad Attempts to be Macho file, and it looks a little like this:

Ready… set… snark!

Twistie’s Sunday Caption madness: The Nice Fish Edition: The Result

Hail, conquering heroes… or, you know, devoted fans and readers.

Anyway.

Last week I fish-slapped you all with this… Very Special Image.

You retaliated with seventeen clever, creative, and deeply disturbing captions.

In the end though, there can be but one winner. This time the laurel goes to three of you because I just couldn’t decide between them and, well, it’s my game so I get to bend the rules a tidge when it suits me, so there. Said winners will be announced in the order in which they posted, just because.

The first is the ever-fragrant Violet who managed to involve the near-universal frustration of bra shopping with her lament of:

Yeah, I tried on the 38 Sea, it’s still not fitting right.

I feel your pain, dear.

The second is the always-fierce and fabulous Ripley for this echo from my childhood memories combined with a hint of my inexhaustible efforts to please my Feline Master:

The new Playtex 18-hour Bra lifts and separates AND entertains the cat!

Jake the cat approves.

And last – but by no means least – the third winner is the utterly succulent Jenna B. for showing the lengths to which a new mom will go to do right by her spawn:

It’s just that the new baby is lactose intolerant…

Hopefully the baby doesn’t also have a seafood allergy.

I just want to say to everyone that the decision was really difficult to make this week, because you all were so very creative. You make me proud, people!

So congratulations to the winners, and my heartfelt thanks to everyone who played!

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Nice Fish Edition

Hey there, everybody! It’s time once again to play Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness!

You all know how this works. I post a picture that’s looking a funny caption in all the wrong places. You provide said captions via the comments function. Next saturday, I declare a winner and we all retire after the excitement for a good lie down with the adult beverage of our choosing. Mine will be a double-caff mocha with chocolate nib shavings. Nice and relaxing.

Anyway.

This week’s image comes from the I’ve Watched Animal House Fourteen Times Too Many file, and it looks a little like this:

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Mommy Blinked Edition: The Result

First off, I would like to say that I love each and every one of you, deeply, profoundly, and ecumenically. Last week I inflicted this gobsmacking image on you:

… and you gave as good as you got with ten hilarious captions. In fact, you came up with such glorious responses that I’m declaring two runners up as well as a winner. You were That Good.

Second runner up is the fragrant moiraeknittoo with the fabulous gaming reference:

Man, they really ARE angry birds.

Does that mean you’re calling these children green pigs? I’m just asking.

First runner up is the delicious and nutritious Karin for referencing kami kazi home decorating shows:

Ty Pennington – the early years

I have frequently mused that his background might be very much like this illustration.

But there was a clear and present winner, my friends. Not only did she come up with a true gut buster of a caption, but she also managed to capture the spirit of the Manolosphere in the process.

The laurel goes to the superfantastic Julie for this deathless question:

Does State Farm classify toddlers as vandals or an act of God?

Congratulations to all of our winners! And thanks to everyone for playing.

Howdy, all! It’s time once again to play Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness!

You all know how this works. I post a picture that’s beyond desperate for a good, silly caption or two. You provide said captions via the comments function. Next saturday, I declare a winner and we shower said winner with caviar and cocktail rings… well, I declare a winner, anyway. It’s probably for the best that the rest of that doesn’t happen, because caviar stains and cocktail rings hurt when hurled at one. Don’t ask me how I know this, just trust me.

Anyway.

Today’s picture, while it does not come from my actual family album, brings back fond memories of the sort of shenanigans my brothers and I pulled when nobody was looking, and it looks a little like this:

Ready… set… snark!

Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness: The Mountainous Mammary Molder Edition: The Result

Hey there, caption lovers!

Last week I insulted your collective intelligence with this deathless image:

And you all came back swinging with seventeen fabulous captions that had me rolling about on the floor helpless with mirth.

In the end, though, there can be but one winner. This week, it’s the fabulous and inimitable moiraeknittoo for this historical tidbit of awesome:

Howard Hughes’ first attempt to meld his interests went somewhat pear shaped.

Congratulations, moireknittoo, and thanks to everyone who played!

Hey kids! It’s time once again to play Twistie’s Sunday Caption Madness!

You all know how this works. I post a pic that’s howling into the night for a good caption or three. You provide said captions via the comments function. Next week I declare a winner, and we all dance and sing hosannah in the streets… or, you know, appreciate a good joke.

This week’s image comes from the I’m Glad Mine Aren’t That Big file, and it looks a little like this:
