Yesterday, as we all know, was the birthday of Saint Judy of Garland. Since this particular high holy day fell on a Sunday, we here at Manolo for the Big Girl are celebrating The Feast of Saint Garland (observed) today.
So…which pair of ruby slippers would YOU take over the rainbow?
Top Row from left to right
Ribes 70 from Salvatore Ferragamo
Middle Row
Vivienne Westwood Anglomania + Melissa – Skyscraper II
Hush Puppies 1958 Collection – Basis
Bottom Row
The Kate Spade Faylyns. I love the flowers, and I can keep on theme by cackling “POPPIES!!!”

The skyscraper iis which have somehow managed to slip past my usual distaste for platforms.

I was once so excited about buying a pair of red shoes that I tripped and fell over a bench on my way out of the store.

I love the Kate Spade wedges! Her flat sandals are cute too.
I’d probably actually wear the Cole Haan kitten heels and/or the cute loafers though.

The two Vivienne Westwood shoes win it for me. In the name of not injuring myself, though, I’d pick the Cole Haans.

I will totally grab every pair without ankle straps when you’re not looking. Hey! Is that Xabi over there?
But if I must choose just the one, it must be Ferragamo.

I’m sick in love with Vivienne Westwood’s Skyscraper II. And would love wearing the Puppies of Hush Basis.

In all practicality, I would probably buy the center bottom loafers – the Blaise from Ara. But the Vivienne Westwood Regents in the bottom right are singing to me!

The Marchez Vous have stolen my heart and I might have to sell a kidney. They belong on my feet!

I like most of them! The kate spades would probably be my favorite – perfect for summer.
I don’t really care for the hush puppies or the ara ones though.

It’s funny, before even seeing who made what shoes, the two pairs I would love to have were both by V Westwood. I do believe she is my fashion spirit guide (her and McQueen).
Comment by JosieBella — June 11, 2012 @ 9:26 pm
None of the above. I would choose a pair of bright red, highly decorated cowboy boots.

I love the solid red Vivienne Westwoods. And the Blaise by Ara.

I’m with Carole–the Salvatore Ferragamo. Classic.

Oh Plummy dear, you KNOW I’ve got a pair of red Chies in steady rotation.
Comment by Friv — June 12, 2012 @ 12:52 pm
Since I love red shoes more than chocolate, my choice would be “one pair of each”
Comment by Thea — June 12, 2012 @ 1:05 pm
All of them

Oh they are all so divine. But if forced to choose, Simone.
Comment by BrooklynShoeBabe — June 12, 2012 @ 7:23 pm
I ll go with the Simone from Marchez Vous

The last and the first. Outstanding.

Oh, my Melissa addiction is unsurpassed.

One of my very dear aunts has always said “Red shoes make happy feet.”
I took her words to heart, which is why I already have 5 pairs of red shoes (6 of you stretch your definition of red to include dark coral), but if I were going to squeeze one more into my closet, I love the Kate Sade flats because of the black detail in the center of the poppies.
